The Spartans suffered two dual-meet losses on Saturday (May 8) at Lawrenceville. SJ-O lost to the host school 36-30 before falling to Vandalia 72-6.
The lone SJ-O grappler to finish the day unbeaten was 126-pound junior Dakota Pinaire. He picked up a forfeit win as well as a pin in 3 minutes, 57 seconds.
Teammates who won non-forfeited matches were Garrett Denhart, with a 50-second fall at 138 pounds and Owen Birt with a pin in 2 minutes, 41 seconds at 195 pounds.
SJ-O (2-2) returns to action on Tuesday (May 11) at Oakwood in a meet that also includes Clifton Central.
