Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine opportunities for 12-15-year-olds beginning May 13
Champaign County residents, ages 12-15, can access the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine as soon as Thursday, May 13.
After the the U.S. Food and Drug Administration expanded the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine on Monday, Champaign-Urbana Public Health District posted that Champaign County resident over the age of 12 can access the vaccine this weekend at:
Carle: Dress Barn Location on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Anyone 12 and older. Walk-ins welcome.
Walgreens: Starting Thursday morning, anyone 12 and older can make same-day appointment or walk-in at any of the locations.
CUPHD: Friday walk in clinic, Saturday 10-1p
Christie: Mahomet schools this Friday, Holy Cross next week.
Other school-based clinics are being are planned for the next 2 weeks.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, Carle patients are able to make an appointment for a shot by using their MyCarle portal. Those shots will be administered at the Kohl’s Plaza site.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is administered as a series of two doses, three weeks apart, the same dosage and dosing regimen for 16 years of age and older.
