Spartans Owen Birt (195 pounds) and Lincoln Eastin (220 pounds) won both of their wrestling matches on Monday (May 10), though SJ-O lost dual meets to Clifton Central (57-15) and Oakwood (60-18).

Birt and Eastin each picked up a forfeit win and a win by pin in the second period. Each grappler has a 5-1 season record.

Other Spartans with wins for the night were Garrett Denhart (132 pounds) and Bryson Helfrich (182 pounds). They were 1-1 for the night. Helfrich’s pin came in 20 seconds.

SJ-O (2-4) will return to action on Thursday (May 13) at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.
