Ronk leads Comets at Hoopeston

Senior Eli Ronk was the lone Oakwood athlete to place among the top five individuals in the Vermilion County track and field meet on Friday (May 7) at Hoopeston Area High School.
Ronk was the runner-up in the 800 meters, stopping the clock in 2 minutes, 18.19 seconds.
The meet titlist was Salt Fork with 182 points. Runner-up Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin totaled 153 points. Oakwood ended sixth in the seven-school field with eight points.
The Comets return to action on Tuesday (May 18) in the Salt Fork Invitational.
