Sophomore Owen Birt won by pin for the St. Joseph-Ogden wrestling team on Thursday (May 13) in a dual meet at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.

Birt’s win in 65 seconds improved his season record to 6-1 and accounted for the Spartans’ points in a 54-6 loss to the Falcons. Five of Birt’s wins this season have been by pin.

SJ-O (2-5) returns to action on Tuesday (May 18) at Prairie Central in a meet that also includes Rantoul.
