Maci Clodfelder hit a home run, her second of the season, and knocked in two runs on Wednesday (May 19), but the Blue Devils dropped a 5-3 softball decision at Toledo Cumberland.
Allison Pangburn scored two of the Villa Grove runs. Pangburn and Vanessa Wright each laced two hits for VG.
Alexandria Brown pitched a complete game, walking one and striking out four in six innings.
Villa Grove (6-11) returns to action on Saturday (May 22) at Salt Fork.
