Ty Pence drilled three hits and Isaiah Immke added two hits on Thursday (May 20) as the Spartans topped visiting Pontiac 9-1.
Pence and Hayden Brazelton each knocked in two runs.
Zach Martinie (4-0) scattered two hits during his five-inning stint. He walked one and struck out seven. Pence pitched two scoreless innings, yielding two hits.
On Friday (May 21), Brazelton pitched a complete-game two-hitter, firing the 12th shutout of the year thrown by SJ-O pitchers in a 6-0 win at home over Westville. Brazelton walked one and fanned seven.
Tyler Altenbaumer had two hits and three RBI. Brazelton and Keaton Nolan each scored two runs.
SJ-O (24-2) has a 12-game winning streak and returns to action on Monday (May 24) at Pontiac. In the Spartans’ last 11 games, they have allowed just five total runs.
