Oakwood/Salt Fork wrestling wins last 3 of 4 meets

The Oakwood/Salt Fork wrestling program improved its dual meet record to 14-3 by winning three of its last four meets.
The team decisioned Charleston 70-6, Rantoul 52-17 and Clinton 48-16 before losing to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 39-26.
The first two meets took place in Charleston on Wednesday (May 19) and the second two were at GCMS on Thursday (May 20).
Four squad members won matches by pin or technical fall, including 120-pound Gage Reed, who improved his record to 16-0 with wins against all four schools. His technical fall triumph was by a 15-0 margin.
Securing pins were teammates Reef Pacot (126 pounds), Blake Barney (138 pounds) and Joe Lashuay (170 pounds).
Other non-forfeit wins for Oakwood/Salt Fork were major decisions by Connor Hutson (145 pounds) and Tate Johnson (170 pounds) and a regular decision by Bryson Capansky (132 pounds).
The team returns to action on Thursday (June 3) in its home finale against Champaign Central and Robinson.
