Three St. Joseph-Ogden wrestlers went 2-0 on Thursday (May 27) as the Spartans split two dual meets at home.
SJ-O decisioned Argenta-Oreana 40-6, but lost to Westville 32-12.
Garrett Denhart (138 pounds), Chase Chapman (145 pounds) and Conrad Miller (170 pounds) were each 2-0.
Both of Miller’s wins were by pin, including one in 58 seconds against A-O. Denhart and Chapman each posted a win by decision and received a forfeit.
Other non-forfeit winners for the Spartans were Owen Birt (220 pounds), who had a pin in 1 minute and 14 seconds against A-O, and Kyle Meccoli (285 pounds), who recorded a win by major decision, 18-5, also against A-O.
Birt has a team-high seven pins.
SJ-O (6-7) returns to action on Tuesday (June 1) in the Illini Prairie Conference meet at Chillicothe.
