The St. Joseph Junior High Panthers’ baseball posted an 11-3 season-opening win at home over Prairieview-Ogden on Wednesday (Aug. 11).
Bryson Houchens and Logan Rosenthal each swatted two hits and drove in three runs apiece.
Will Haley stole three bases and scored three runs. Asher Pruemer and Rosenthal both crossed home plate twice.
The Panthers employed five pitchers. Starter Cam Schluter fanned four batters in 2 2/3 innings. Rosenthal earned the win with 1 1/3 innings of hitless relief.
Pruemer, Trevor Ames and Brennan Oleynichak all pitched one inning.
St. Joseph is 1-0.
