SJ-O Volleyball picks up two wins

The St. Joseph-Ogden volleyball team rallied from a one-set deficit on Monday (Aug. 23) to earn a three-set win at Maroa-Forsyth.
The Spartans prevailed 23-25, 25-20, 25-18.
Becca Steinbach handed out 32 assists for SJ-O to go with nine digs and two blocks.
Hannah Fox posted a team-high 16 digs. Addie Roesch was the leader at the service line with three aces.
Kennedi Burnett pounded 13 kills and added five digs. Shayne Immke ended with nine kills and six digs.
On Wednesday (Aug. 25), Immke slammed eight kills and Burnett landed six kills as SJ-O overpowered Georgetown-Ridge Farm, 25-14, 25-3.
Taylor Hug collected 11 assists. Taylor Wells contributed three blocks and two kills. Burnett added three service aces.
SJ-O (2-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 26) with the third of four consecutive road matches to start the season. The Spartans will play at Bismarck-Henning.
