Case Kopacz earns medalist honors against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin

Oakwood’s Case Kopacz fired a 42 on Wednesday (Sept. 1) at Harrison Park, in Danville, and captured medalist honors by three strokes in a dual golf meet against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
Teammate Mason Goodner shot a 52 and placed fourth individually.
Other scores for the Comets were: Kyle McFarland (53), Nate Stewart (58), Will Crippin (69) and Lily Harden (70).
B-H/R-A posted a 201-205 dual-meet win, though the Comets registered their lowest team score of the season for the second time in two days.
On Monday (Aug. 30), McFarland tied for fifth individually at Ironhorse in Tuscola, helping Oakwood’s boys’ golf team post its lowest score of the season.
McFarland fired a team-best 47 for nine holes.
The team’s other leaders were Kopacz (52), Goodner (53), Stewart (59) and Crippin (67).
Oakwood finished third in the four-school meet.
Arcola (173) was the team titlist, followed by Salt Fork (204), Oakwood (211) and Fisher (226).
Oakwood (5-7) returns to action on Friday (Sept. 3) at Danville in the Viking Invitational at Turtle Run.
