The Heritage Junior High Hawks’ baseball team was held to three hits on Tuesday (Sept. 7) and were shut out at home by Westville, 12-0.
Anthony Happ belted two of the Hawks’ three hits and also walked once. Happ had a double.
Destin Nickle swatted the team’s other hit.
Three squad members shared pitching duties. Rylan White pitched the first 2 2/3 innings. He was followed by Lukas Miller for 1 2/3 innings and by Kale McComas for 2/3 of an inning.
Heritage committed nine errors and allowed only three earned runs.
The Hawks (1-8) return to action on Thursday (Sept. 9) at Homer against Georgetown-Ridge Farm.
