Retz leads Panthers at Mahomet Invitational

Lance Retz placed fourth on Saturday (Sept 18) in the 13-school Mahomet-Seymour Invitational boys’ cross-country meet at the Swiss Valley course in the Lake of the Woods.
Retz ran the 2-mile layout in 11 minutes and 53 seconds.
He was among the 11 St. Joseph runners to finish among the top 75 in a field of 101 competitors.
Securing top-25 placements for the team were Patrick Clark (17th in 12:53) and Colton Overstreet (21st in 12:57).
Teammates in the top-50 were Colin Burnett (33rd in 13:38), Quinn Stahl (36th in 13:41), Landon Smith (44th in 14:08), Cyrus Zaden (45th in 14:11) and Sam Zaden (50th in 14:34).
The Panthers’ other competitors were Brady Johnson (54th in 14:48), Eli Franklin (62nd in 15:11) and Luke Dunn (71st in 15:42).
