A balanced offense and a balanced defense provided the spark on Monday (Sept. 20) as the St. Joseph-Ogden volleyball team zoomed past Urbana, 25-11, 25-12.
Kenndi Burnett powered nine kills. Shayne Immke had six kills and Ashley Eldridge added five kills.
Hanna Fox led with eight digs. Just behind her, with seven digs apiece, were Burnett and Becca Steinbach.
Steinbach registered 24 assists and served two aces. Immke finished with two digs.
On Tuesday (Sept. 21), the Spartans dropped a two-set match at home to Tolono Unity 25-13, 25-21.
Steinbach totaled 13 assists and six digs. Burnett wound up with seven digs and six kills. Fox posted eight digs.
SJ-O (10-3) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 23) at Pontiac.
