Spartans defeat GCMS in two sets

Kennedi Burnett was one kill shy of a double-double on Monday (Sept. 27) as the St. Joseph-Ogden volleyball team captured a 25-11, 25-16 victory at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.
Burnett registered 12 digs and nine kills to go along with a team-high five service aces.
Sophomores Rachel Divan and Addie Roesch each landed five kills. Divan had one block and Roesch contributed one ace.
Becca Steinbach distributed 22 assists and chipped in with four digs and one ace. Hannah Fox had eight digs and three assists.
SJ-O (12-3) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 30) at home against Rantoul.
