Both of the Oakwood/Salt Fork girls who participated in the 80-runner Cumberland Invitational fashioned top-10 finishes.
Sophomore Macie Russell placed third with a 3-mile time of 20 minutes, 26.24 seconds.
Junior Allie Morris was seventh in 21:07.07.
The Comets didn’t have enough runners to be scored as a team.
In the boys’ race, the lone Oakwood/Salt Fork competitor was senior Ethan Brewer, who was 122nd in 24:16.97.
Oakwood/Salt Fork returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 12) in the Vermilion Valley Conference meet.
