Spartan volleyball registers 20-win season

St. Joseph-Ogden battled back from a one-set deficit on Tuesday (Oct. 19) to beat Paxton-Buckley-Loda and reach the 20-win mark for the season.
With Becca Steinbach registering a double-double (29 assists and 10 digs), SJ-O bounced PBL 23-25, 25-21, 25-17. Steinbach also had one kill.
Kennedi Burnett contributed 13 digs, eight kills, five service aces, two blocks and an assist.
Shayne Immke turned in an 11-dig, eight-kill, two-block and one-ace performance.
Hannah Fox recorded 13 digs, two assists and an ace in the team’s final regular-season home match.
SJ-O (20-4) returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 21) at Bloomington Central Catholic.
The Spartans have enjoyed 20-win seasons in volleyball in 13 of the past 14 years. The lone exception was the COVID-shortened season of 2020-21, when SJ-O was 17-3.
