The Oakwood Area Food Pantry will host the 8th Annual 5K Turkey Trot on November 20 at 9 am. This race will begin and end at the pantry which is located at 202 S. Scott St. in Oakwood. A virtual option is also available.
Usually, the Turkey Trot is held at Kickapoo State Park, but with a 250 sq.-foot addition, organizers thought supporters would enjoy celebrating the accomplishment with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the same day.
To date, the Oakwood Food Pantry has raised a total of $16,500 of our target goal of $30,000. Any contributor that gives at a level of $100 or more will be featured on the donor wall and be entered to win seven days of accommodations in Topsail Island, NC.
