Freshmen Savanna Franzen helped lead the St. Joseph-Ogden girls’ cross country team to a third-place finish at the Class 1A Chrisman Sectional Saturday.
Franzen placed fourth, running the 3-mile course in 19 minutes and 3 seconds.
Recently, Franzen has been recognized as the runner-up at the Peoria Heights Invitational at Detweiller Park and she won the individual champion in the 58-runner field at the Illini Prairie Conference meet.
The freshmen placed third at the Spartan Classic and at the Richard Spring Invitational.
