The Heritage Hawks were eliminated from the Class 1A IHSA volleyball tournament on Monday (Nov. 1) with a sectional semifinal loss to St. Thomas More at Tuscola High School.
St. Thomas More handled the Hawks, 25-12, 25-6.
Lilli Montgomery posted a team-high six digs. Bri Struck registered four kills and Mary Roland chipped in with one ace.
The team’s seniors were Bri Struck, Kiley Knoll, Lilly Ploense and Torie Rothermel.
Struck established both season (417) and career (961) record for kills at Heritage. Roland set the season record for assists (778) after adding eight in the season finale.
Heritage ends the season with a 25-9-1 record. St. Thomas More is 38-1 after winning the sectional championship match on Wednesday (Nov. 3) in two sets.
