The Oakwood Comets pulled away in the final quarter on Monday (Nov. 22) to defeat Casey-Westfield, 52-27, in second-round action of the Comet Classic.
Oakwood’s lead was 34-31 entering the final eight points, but Addie Wright hit nine of her game-high 25 points down the stretch and Ashynn Pinnick made seven of her 17 points in the last stanza.
Nikita Taylor added six points for Oakwood.
The Comets are 2-2 overall, but 2-0 in the Comet Classic and return to action on Friday (Nov. 26).
