Heritage seventh-grade basketball comes to end after several wins

The Heritage seventh-graders won twice in their final four games, including a triumph in the IESA Class 1A regional semifinals.
After ending the regular season with a 17-14 win at Oakwood and a 28-4 loss to Philo St. Thomas, second-seeded Heritage upended third-seeded Chrisman 21-11, to start the postseason before falling to top-seeded Schlarman Academy 40-11, in the championship game on Saturday (Nov. 20).
The seventh-graders finished with a 6-10 overall record.
The eighth-graders lost at Oakwood, 42-27, and 46-10 at Philo St. Thomas. The Heritage eighth-graders are 2-12 and play in the IESA Class 1A regional on Dec. 2 at Schlarman against second-seeded Chrisman in the semifinals. Heritage is the No. 3 seed.
