Josh Young put up 22 points on Monday (Nov. 22) as Oakwood opened the boys’ basketball season with a 72-31 thrashing of Chrisman in the Tri-County Turkey Tourney.
Dalton Hobick drained four three-point shots and finished with 14 points. Josh Ruch and Grant Powell each made nine points and Alec Harrison tallied five points.
On Tuesday (Nov. 23), Oakwood was edged by Watseka, 49-46, despite a 30-point outburst by Young.
Powell netted seven points and Griffin Trees contributed five points.
Oakwood (1-1) returns to action with two games on Friday (Nov. 26), at 2 p.m. against Judah Christian and at 6:30 against Tri-County.
