Behind the performance of all-tournament picks Ashlynn Pinnick and Addie Wright, Oakwood placed fourth in its own eight-school Comet Classic.
Oakwood lost its final two games, 56-22, to Tuscola on Wednesday (Nov. 24) and 49-36 to Urbana Uni High on Friday (Nov. 26) in the third-place game.
Wright recorded 11 points against Tuscola and followed up with 22 points against Uni High. Pinnick hit for five against the Illineks.
Oakwood (2-4) returns to action on Monday (Nov. 29) at home against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
