PV-O on 8-game win streak

The Prairieview Ogden eighth-grade boys’ basketball team increased its winning streak to eight games with three recent victories, including a 57-7 triumph at home on Tuesday (Nov. 30) against Oakwood.
Kodey McKinney tallied a game-high 23 points and is the first PVO player with a 20-point game this season.
Coy Hayes contributed 11 points, Parker Fitch notched nine points and Ethan Sanders chipped in with six points. John Couture scored four points and Kaden Wedig and Dalton York each scored two points.
Before Thanksgiving, PVO won at Bismarck, 42-24, and topped Salt Fork at home, 44-40.
Against Bismarck, Fitch netted a team-high 16 points. Hayes seconded him with 11 points and was followed by Wedig with seven points, Couture with four points and Vance McComas with four points.
Against Salt Fork, McKinney tossed in 15 points. Hayes and Graham Ray each hit for nine points. Fitch tallied seven points. Sanders and Wedig each made two points.
The PVO eighth-graders are 9-1 overall and return to action on Thursday (Dec. 2) at Potomac.
The PVO seventh-graders have a 5-2 overall record following a 39-29 loss at home on Tuesday (Nov 30) to Oakwood.
Wedig and Couture each meshed 10 points. York added seven points and Donovan Taylor contributed two points.
The seventh-graders got past Salt Fork, 35-23, with York’s eight points leading the way. Wedig notched seven points and Garrett Loschen nailed six points. Ending with five points apiece were Jaxson LaBounty and Alex Vaughn. Couture tossed in four points.
In a 33-23 loss at Bismarck, York was tops with nine points. Wedig added five points and Loschen finished with three points. Couture, Aiden Hundley and Vaughn all scored two points.
