St. Joseph-Ogden dropped two dual meets at Urbana on Saturday (Dec. 4) despite winning more non-forfeited matches against both opponents.
Urbana downed SJ-O, 33-24, though the Spartans won three of five contested matches. LeRoy conquered SJ-O, 60-16, with SJ-O again winning three of five contested matches.
Holden Brazelton (126 pounds) and Conrad Miller (160 and 170) were each 2-0 for the day. Miller posted a 22-second pin against Urbana and also pinned his LeRoy foe.
The Spartans used two athletes at 120 pounds and each won a match: Landen Butts and Emmitt Holt, who had a pin in 1:36. Going 1-1 overall for SJ-O was 220-pounder Quincy Jones.
SJ-O (0-2) returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 7) at Clifton Central in a meet that also includes Oakwood.
