Brazelton wins four at Rex Avery Invitational

Freshman Holden Brazelton won four matches – two by pin – and was the 120-pound weight class champion on Saturday (Dec. 11) for St. Joseph-Ogden at the Rex Avery Invitational, at Petersburg.
Brazelton kayoed the top-seed in the finals, 3-1, with a takedown in overtime.
SJ-O scored 46 points and finished in a tie for 18th place in the 25-school field.
Conrad Miller (160 pounds) was 1-2 for the day placed seventh by virtue of a pin in his last bout.
Teammate Quincy Jones (220 pounds) was 1-3 overall and ended in eighth place.
The Spartans’ other placer was Matt Falls (145 pounds), who won the consolation championship. He was 1-1 for the tourney.
SJ-O (0-3 in dual meets) will return to action on Tuesday (Dec. 14) at Warrensburg-Latham.
