Drew Williams became the first Heritage player with a 20-point game this season, when he tossed in 21 points on Saturday (Dec. 11) at home in a 53-32 loss to Sullivan.
Joel Bear added seven points for the Hawks.
Heritage (1-7) returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 14) at Tuscola.
Heritage Girls’ Basketball
Adena Paul scored eight points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds on Thursday (Dec. 9), but the Heritage junior varsity girls’ basketball team dropped a 39-23 decision at Arcola.
Heritage outscored the Purple Riders 20-11 during the second half.
Gracie Tate contributed seven points and eight rebounds. Loran Tate finished with six points and four rebounds. Courtney Sanford totaled two points and four rebounds.
The team’s other rebounding leaders were Bailee Lubben (three) and Mykayla Thomas (two). Gracie Tate had two assists. Paul and Gracie Tate wound up with three steals apiece.
Heritage (0-5) returns to action on Thursday (Dec. 16) at Armstrong-Potomac.
