Pinnick scores 13 against Watseka

Ashlynn Pinnick scored a team-high 13 points on Monday (Dec. 13), but Oakwood fell just short in a girls’ basketball game at Watseka, 41-37.
The Comets built a 12-6 lead after one quarter, but trailed at halftime, 20-16.
Oakwood regained control in the third stanza and carried a 30-24 lead into the final quarter.
The only points for Oakwood down the stretch were by Pinnick, who made all seven of her team’s fourth-quarter points.
Addie Wright added 12 points for the Comets. Karsen Rupp finished with six points.
Oakwood (3-8) returns to action on Thursday (Dec. 16) at Hoopeston Area.
