Addie Wright scored 16 of her game-high 22 points in the middle two quarters on Thursday (Dec. 16), helping Oakwood post a 44-22 triumph at Hoopeston Area.
The win raises the Comets’ record in Vermilion Valley Conference play to 2-1.
Jaydah Arrowsmith notched eight points for Oakwood. Teammates Ashlynn Pinnick and Karsen Rupp each collected seven points.
Oakwood expanded a 7-4 lead after one quarter to an 18-9 advantage at halftime.
The Comets (4-8 overall) return to action on Monday (Dec. 20) at home against Westville.
