Oakwood finds victory over Westville

Four players scored at least eight points on Monday (Dec. 20) as Oakwood built a lead early and added on at home in a 49-21 girls’ basketball victory over Westville.
The Comets led 10-2 after one quarter and 29-8 at halftime.
Ashlynn Pinnick netted a game-high 13 points. Addie Wright checked in with nine points as did Karsen Rupp. Adding eight points was Kalie Tison. Nikita Taylor notched five points.
Oakwood connected on 7-of-11 free throws.
On Tuesday (Dec. 21), the Comets dropped a 53-45 decision at home to Armstrong-Potomac despite Jaydah Arrowsmith matching her season’s high with 13 points.
Rupp finished with 11 points and was 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Pinnick and Wright each tallied eight points. Tison chipped in with five points.
The Comets (5-9) return to action on Monday (Dec. 27) at the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Christmas Tournament.
