St. Joseph-Ogden scored the first 11 points of the second quarter on Tuesday (Dec. 21) at home and recovered from an 11-5 deficit against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin and rolled to a 53-37 boys’ basketball triumph.
Ty Pence led the way for the unbeaten Spartans, scoring 22 points. He also cleared eight rebounds.
Logan Smith contributed 10 points and seven assists while Evan Ingram added eight points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Andrew Beyers chipped in with six points and five rebounds.
Second-seeded SJ-O (9-0) returns to action on Monday (Dec. 27) in the State Farm Classic at Normal West, facing 15th-seeded Tri-Valley.
