Hawks finish BSN Classic

The Heritage boys’ basketball team finished 0-4 in the BSN Classic. The Hawks’ first three games were at home and the final one, for 11th place, was played at Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
In the Wednesday (Dec. 29) tourney finale, Heritage fell to Indiana School of Math and Science, 69-47.
Drew Williams landed a team-high 19 points. Timmy Wilson chipped in with 11 points and Aaron Coffin contributed seven points.
On Tuesday (Dec. 28), Heritage fell behind Georgetown-Ridge Farm early, 19-11, after one period and came out on the short end of a 68-48 score. The Hawks also lost to Salt Fork, 56-29, on Tuesday (Dec. 28).
Williams tallied 12 points against G-RF. Wilson meshed 11 points. Julliyan Gray hit nine points and Coffin added eight points.
Against Salt Fork, the teams were tied, 5-5, after one quarter. Salt Fork led 22-15 at halftime, but used a 27-6 third-quarter spurt to pull away.
Wilson made a team-high 14 points. Williams totaled five points. Coffin and Gray each finished with four points.
On Monday (Dec. 27), Williams and Wilson each scored in double figures for Heritage, which dropped a 74-46 decision to Armstrong-Potomac in the opening round of the BSN Classic in Broadlands.
At halftime, Heritage only faced a 26-25 deficit.
Williams hit a team-high 12 points and Wilson netted 10 points. Coffin tossed in three three-point shots to account for his nine points. Gray ended with seven points.
Gray poured in a season-high 18 points in a 68-39 loss to Illinois Math and Science, also on Monday (Dec. 27). Williams netted six points and Joel Bear had five points.
IMSA led, 16-14, after one quarter and expanded its lead to 38-29 at halftime.
Heritage (1-12) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 4) at home against Toledo Cumberland.
