Josh Ruch and Gaven Clouse hit their season’s high for points scored on Tuesday (Jan. 4) as Oakwood overpowered Hoopeston Area, 57-45, in a Vermilion Valley Conference boys’ basketball game at Hoopeston.
Ruch tallied 15 points and Clouse chipped in with 12 points. Tanner Pichon scored 10 points and Grant Powell added nine points.
Oakwood led, 35-11, at halftime.
The Comets (14-4 overall and 3-0 in the VVC) return to action on Friday (Jan. 7) at home against Chrisman.
