Double-figure scoring performances from Dalton Hobick and Tanner Pichon spurred Oakwood to a 62-25 Vermilion Valley Conference boys’ basketball win at home on Friday (Jan. 7) over Chrisman.
Hobick hit a game-high 19 points and Pichon pitched in with 15 points as Oakwood remained unbeaten (4-0) in VVC games. Josh Young collected eight points and Gaven Clouse chipped in with seven points.
Clouse made one free throw and has hit all 13 of his attempts from the line this season.
The Comets captured a 17-4 lead after one quarter and were ahead, 35-11 at halftime. They allowed the Cardinals just two first-half field goals.
Oakwood (15-4 overall) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 11) at home against Milford.
