Layne Rund scored 19 points on Friday (Jan. 7), but Villa Grove fell at home to Urbana University High, 74-57, in a non-conference boys’ basketball game.
The Blue Devils led, 28-25, at halftime, but had fallen behind, 48-43, after three quarters.
Brady Clodfelder added a season-high 10 points. Liam Barr and Robert Fancher each registered eight points.
Villa Grove (3-12) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 11) at Arcola.
