Spartans connect for win over Prairie Central

Ashlyn Lannert, Peyton Jones and Ella Armstrong combined for 54 points on Monday (Jan. 10) as the St. Joseph-Ogden girls’ basketball team raced past visiting Prairie Central, 69-48, in an Illini Prairie Conference girls’ basketball game.

Lannert hit a team-high 19 points, but was followed by Jones (18 points) and Armstrong (17 points). That trio teamed up to hit 10 three-point shots, including five by Armstrong and four by Jones.

Payton Jacob notched eight points and Taylor Wells collected six points for the Spartans.

SJ-O (12-5) has won four consecutive games entering a Thursday (Jan. 13) game at Chillicothe against Illinois Valley Central.
