Pontiac defeats SJ-O in Conference game

St. Joseph-Ogden’s boys’ basketball team opened Illini Prairie Conference play on Friday (Jan 14) with a 58-44 loss at home to Pontiac.
Ty Pence rippled the cords for a game-high 30 points. Evan Ingram added 12 points. Pence and Ingram each bagged two three-pointers.
McGwire Atwood pulled down a team-high seven rebounds for the Spartans.
SJ-O trailed, 15-12, after one period, but had fallen behind, 35-18 at halftime.
The Spartans (12-4) return to action on Tuesday (Jan. 18) against Prairie Central in Fairbury.
