Knights on an 8-game win streak

Oakwood’s seventh-grade boys’ basketball team raised its winning streak to eight games and its season record to 13-1 with wins on back-to-back nights.
The Knights dispatched Armstrong-Potomac at home, 39-11, on Wednesday (Jan. 12) and followed up with a 40-15 triumph at Rossville-Alvin on Thursday (Jan. 13).
Carsen Dudley was the leader at A-P, finishing with 10 points. Trevor Hanner and Taylor Nevitt both supplied six points. Collin Furry and Alex Wallace each notched five points.
Against R-A, Dudley’s 16 points paced Oakwood. Cale Thomas netted seven points. Furry and Camden Harris contributed six points apiece.
Oakwood’s eighth-graders also won twice and own victories in four of their last five games.
The Knights defeated Armstrong-Potomac, 34-22, and got past Rossville-Alvin, 34-24.
Dudley hit 11 points in the win at home over A-P. Landon Huddleston and Ethan Morger chipped in with six points apiece. Wallace made five points.
Against R-A, Huddleston set the pace, scoring nine points. Morger tallied eight and Dudley wound up with six points.
Oakwood’s eighth-graders are 6-8 and return to action on Thursday (Jan. 20) in their regular-season finale at home against Chrisman.
