The win enabled the Comets to maintain their hold on first place in the Vermilion Valley Conference with a 6-0 league record.
Oakwood held a slender 26-23 lead at halftime, but Alec Harrison and Tanner Pichon each scored six third-quarter points as the Comets built a 49-37 lead after three quarters.
Pichon made 13 points and Harrison hit a season-high eight points. Gaven Clouse also contributed eight points.
Oakwood (18-6) returns to action on Friday (Jan. 28) at Cissna Park.
