SJO picks up another win over Stanford Olympia

St.  Joseph-Ogden’s girls’ basketball team continued its winning ways in Illini Prairie Conference games on Monday (Jan. 24), collecting a 50-40 victory at Stanford Olympia.

The teams were tied, 25-25, at halftime, but SJ-O used a 12-0 spurt in the third quarter to take command.

Taylor Wells hit nine of her team-high 13 points in the third quarter.

Payton Jacob added 12 points for the Spartans. Ashlyn Lannert and Peyton Jones each tallied 10 points.

SJ-O is 16-6 overall and 6-0 in IPC games entering a Thursday (Jan. 27) game at home against Bloomington Central Catholic.
