Dalton Hobick bucketed 26 points on Friday (Jan. 28) and Josh Young made 21 as Oakwood outscored Cissna Park, 75-61, in a boys’ Vermilion Valley Conference basketball game.
It was the second time in the last eight games that the duo had each reached the 20-point mark in the same game.
Oakwood led, 26-23, after one period but zoomed into a 42-29 advantage by halftime. Griffin Trees popped in eight second-quarter points, and finished with 11. Tanner Pichon chipped in with eight points.
Oakwood is 19-6 overall and 7-0 in VVC play. The Comets return to action on Tuesday (Feb. 1 at Westville).
