Comets use second half to defeat Iroquois West

Oakwood staged a second-half comeback on Saturday (Feb. 5) and rallied for a 63-57 win at home over Iroquois West.
Oakwood trailed, 16-14, after one quarter and 27-24 at halftime.
Josh Young nailed nine of his team-high 22 points in the third quarter to spark the Comets into a 43-35 lead entering the final eight minutes.
Young, who was 13-for-13 from the free throw line, scored 19 of his points in the second half.
The Comets meshed 12-of-16 fourth-quarter free throws and were 17-for-21 from the line in the second half.
Dalton Hobick tallied 21 points. Griffin Trees had seven points and Gaven Clouse contributed six points.
Oakwood (21-6) returns to action on Tuesday (Feb. 8) at home against Salt Fork.
