Chrisman brings Heritage season to an end

Rylan White was the leading scorer for the Heritage Junior High boys’ basketball team, which bowed out of the regional with a 49-13 loss to Chrisman on Saturday (Jan. 29), in 13 games.
White posted a team-best eight points in the season finale. Clark Roland had the team’s other five points.
Destin Nickle led the team in scoring in three games. Roland and Kale McComas led, or had a share of the lead, in one game.
Heritage finished with a 2-15 record.
White averaged 18.9 points per game and drilled a team-best 35 three-pointers. White’s best scoring game was 28 points.
Teammates who hit three-pointers during the season were Anthony Happ, Brayden Jones, McComas, Nickle and Brenley Sands.
Other squad members who reached the scoring column were Eli Denmark-Collins, Lukas Miller and Kaden White.
Nickle (who averaged 8.9 points per game) was the most adept at getting to the free-throw line, attempting 67 for the season. The team’s most accurate free-throw shooter was Rylan White, at 68.8 percent.
