Knights end season with 16-2 record

Oakwood’s seventh-grade boys’ basketball team finished the season with a 16-2 record. Both losses were to St. Joseph by margins of nine and four points.
Carsen Dudley led the team in scoring in all 18 games and averaged 21.4 points per game. He led the team in three-pointers (11) and free throw accuracy (57.1 percent).
Dudley’s top scoring game was 38 points against Gifford.
Alex Wallace was second in three-pointers made (eight) and free throw accuracy (56.3 percent).
Trevor Hanner, Camden Harris, Grady Johnson and Taylor Nevitt were other squad members who hit three-pointers.
Other team members who scored points this season were Nick Cadle, Gage Carrillo, Trenton Denhart, Walker Enos, Collin Furry, Kyler Johnson, Cooper Murray and Cale Thomas.
Oakwood’s eighth-graders finished with an 8-9 season record.
Dudley led the team in scoring in seven games.
Others who led, or shared the team lead, in scoring were: Ben Darling (four games), Landon Huddleston (three games), Evgeni Anderson (one game), Sailor Harrison (one game), Ethan Morger (one game) and Alex Wallace (one game).
Darling led the team in three-pointers (20). Huddleston was second with 16.
Dudley led the team in scoring (7.8), followed by Darling (6.3) and Huddleston (5.9).
Darling registered the team’s top scoring game, sinking 17 points against Gifford. Huddleston and Morger each had 14-point games. Dudley’s high game was 13 points.
Dudley led the squad in free throw accuracy (58.8 percent), followed by Wallace (57.1 percent).
Other team members who scored points this season were Collin Furry, Avery Haughn, Trevor McCall and Cale Thomas.
