Heritage volleyball tops Schlarman Academy

The Heritage seventh-grade volleyball team recovered from a one-set deficit on Thursday (Feb. 10) and topped Schlarman Academy in Homer, 19-25, 25-21, 25-19.
Makenna Roedl landed 10 kills to go with five aces and one dig. Bre Ploense had eight aces and eight assists.
Addi Hopper finished with five aces, three kills and one dig.
Contributing one kill again were Haylee Shaffer, Kalyn Miller and Lillie Bishop.
On Tuesday (Feb. 8), Heritage dropped a 23-25, 25-11, 25-13 decision at Salt Fork.
The seventh-graders have a 5-7 season record.
The eighth-graders dropped a 25-6, 25-17 decision to Schlarman Academy.
Faith Latham had three assists, three digs, two blocks and one kill. Bree McGarigle ended with two kills, one ace and one dig.
Ploense produced six digs, Kiara Jones had four digs and Mattie White chipped in with two digs.
Kierra Dunlap and Jada Finley each had one kill and one dig.
On Tuesday (Feb. 8), Salt Fork defeated Heritage, 23-25, 25-11, 25-13.
The eighth-graders have a 4-12 season record.
Both squads return to action on Monday (Feb. 21) at Bement.
