Dalton Hobick scored 15 points, Gaven Clouse contributed 13 points and Josh Young added 12 points on Saturday (Feb. 19) as Oakwood opened postseason play at home with a 47-28 win over Westville in a Class 2A regional quarterfinal contest.

The Comets, who have won eight of their last nine games, jumped into a 13-4 lead after one quarter, sparked by five points from Hobick in the opening period.

Oakwood (24-7) returns to action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in a semifinal game at Tolono Unity against top-seeded St. Joseph-Ogden.

When the schools played on December 1, SJ-O posted a 62-57 victory.
