Hawks’ season comes to an end

Tuscola put an end to the Heritage boys’ basketball season on Saturday (Feb. 19), dealing the Hawks a 76-22 loss in a Class 1A regional quarterfinal game in Tuscola.
Julliyan Gray and Robert Holloman scored five points apiece to lead the Hawks.
Tuscola jumped into leads of 35-3 after one quarter and 51-9 at halftime.
Heritage ends the season with a 1-28 record.
Six players led – or shared the team lead – in scoring during the season.
Drew Williams was the leader in 17 games. Gray led in five games, followed by Timmy Wilson (four games), Aaron Coffin (two games), Meneely (two games) and Holloman (one game).
Williams was the team’s top scorer (12.1 average) and Wilson led in three-pointers made (23), followed by Coffin (16) and Williams (13).
The team’s seniors were Meneely, Michael James, Gavin Knowles, Will Reberger and Xander Rathbun.
