Oakwood and Salt Fork go head-to-head in conference game

Salt Fork scored two late runs to decision Oakwood, 7-6, in a Vermilion Valley Conference softball game on Monday (March 21).
The Comets tallied three runs in the top of the fifth inning to build a 6-5 lead. Bella Bradford, Samantha Dunavan and Gracie Enos all drove in runs in the fifth.
Karsen Rupp finished 2-for-4 for the Comets and swiped three bases. She pitched six innings and totaled 11 strikeouts.
Oakwood (0-3) returns to action on Saturday (March 26) at the Casey-Westfield Round Robin Tournament.
